Disappearances in Mexico

Over 60,000 people are missing in Mexico up until this year, increasing by 20,000 in two years. This is an immense amount of people, and this happens because of drug cartels. These types of disappearances have been seen before, like in Chile and Argentina. There was also another case of disappearances involving students in 2014. This gives me a feeling of anger because people don't have much power over the drug businesses. They kill people who could be a possible threat in their path and dispose of the bodies in areas where they aren't likely to be found. I think it's unfair and scary that this is happening, because as we have heard from past months, drug cartels do not like to be interfered with and have power over the people.

People from ages 15-34 go missing, which makes me wonder what I would do if that was me or someone I knew. 15 is a young age to lose your life in a situation like this. Mexican government doesn't really have methods or power to deal with violence like this, which they should work on because this has been happening in Latin America for years ongoing.
